Alex Heingartner

Dr. Heingartner is a social psychologist. A member of the department since 1969, his area is the social behavior of humans and animals. His research interests include attitude change (how it can be brought about), social facilitation (the effects of the presence of another individual on an individual's behavior), psychological and social causative factors in physical illness, and biofeedback. Dr. Heingartner is director of the department's biofeedback laboratory.
